Hey, I’m Magellan (or Astro)! I’m a black, 29-year-old transmasculine nonbinary freelance artist with Autism and ADHD, and I've been drawing for almost 15 years. By day, I work as a memorial items artist at a pet crematory, but my heart lies in creating original character designs that highlight underrepresented bodies and celebrate the beauty of diverse hair textures, especially my love for big, bold hair.My art centers on trans/nonbinary, queer, and BIPOC characters, with a strong focus on larger, more realistic fat bodies. There’s something special about having people tell me my art reminds them of their own bodies and makes them feel seen—it honestly feels like a superpower. I'm always sketching up new designs for monsters, aliens, and my comic, and I have an undying love for romantic pairings and ships that hit you in the feels.I’m all about representing the beauty of diversity in my work. Whether it’s through hair, culture, or body types, I want to create art that makes people feel good, seen, and loved.
